Part 2: They Realized They Had Made a Mistake
A black luxury SUV pulled up beside the sidewalk minutes later. The rear door opened, and the old man's son stepped out, still wearing his tailored suit. His eyes immediately went to his father, sitting beside the broken dishes with his metal prosthetic leg exposed.
"Dad!"
He hurried over, knelt beside the old man, and gently placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Are you hurt?"
The old man shook his head, unable to hide his tears. He pointed toward the three young men.
His son slowly stood and turned to face them.
"Which one of you did this?"
The young men exchanged glances before bursting into mocking laughter.
"What's the matter? You gonna cry about a little table?"
One stepped forward, puffing out his chest.
"Your old man should watch where he sits."
The son's jaw tightened, but he kept his voice calm.
"You destroyed his meal, humiliated him, and laughed at him because he couldn't defend himself."
He glanced at the shattered plates scattered across the pavement.
"Apologize. Right now."
The three men laughed even louder.
"Or what?"
The son took out his phone and made a brief call.
"Get here. Bring the footage."
For the first time, their smiles began to fade.
A moment later, another vehicle pulled up. Two security professionals stepped out, followed by a nearby store manager carrying a tablet. The manager had captured the entire incident on the store's security cameras.
When the footage played, the three men's laughter disappeared. The video clearly showed one of them kicking the table over while the others encouraged him and laughed.
The son looked at them coldly.
"You thought nobody would see what you did."
He turned toward his father and helped him stand.
