🩰 THE 20-YEAR PROMISE THEY COULDN'T BREAK (Part 2)

The instructor's harsh words still hung in the air like a slap, but before the 85-year-old woman could even take a step back, one of the elite female dancers strutted forward. Dressed in a designer leotard, she sneered at the old woman’s faded pink slippers, pulling out a wad of cash from her bag with extreme arrogance:

"Whatever tuition you paid, I’ll refund you double. But please, stop coming here to disturb our class. This isn't a place for an old woman to convalesce. Did you hear me? Get lost! Don't make the professor waste another word on someone like you!"

Cruel giggles erupted across the studio floor once again. The young dancers exchanged amused looks, convinced the elderly woman would break down and leave in shame.

Instead, the old woman slowly adjusted the worn ribbons in her hands. She raised her head, looking past the wealthy student, past the arrogant instructor, and directly at the grand stage visible through the glass studio walls. Tears glistened in the corners of her eyes, but her voice carried a profound, heartbreaking weight:

"I didn't come here to cause trouble. I only want to fulfill a promise to my daughter. It’s been over 20 years. I promised to show her me dancing ballet on stage."

A heavy, unexpected silence fell over the room. The mockery wavered for a split second as the depth of her words hit the air.

Seeing the mood shift, the young head instructor stepped back in, unwilling to lose control of his class. A smug, wicked smirk spread across his face as he scoffed loudly, stepping right into her path:

"You want to dance ballet? Fine. If you can stay upright on your feet for more than 10 seconds without falling and breaking a bone, I’ll let you join the class for free. Otherwise, pack your bags and get out immediately!"
