Part 3 — They Finally Paid the Price for What They Did

The bully and his two friends were still standing in the park when police sirens suddenly echoed through the neighborhood.
The three men looked toward the entrance.
Two police officers stepped out and walked toward them.
The bully immediately started backing away.
But there was nowhere left to run.
Several witnesses had already called the police after seeing the attack.
The officers quickly separated the men and placed them under arrest.
One officer carefully gathered the shattered pieces of the acoustic guitar.
The bully looked at the broken instrument.
Then he looked at the elderly woman.
All the arrogance was gone.
The man who had laughed while destroying her guitar could barely look her in the eyes.
As the officers prepared to take the three men away, the bully finally spoke.
"I'm sorry."
His two friends lowered their heads.
"We're sorry."
The grandmother remained silent for a moment.
She looked down at what was left of her guitar.
Then she looked at her son standing beside her.
He gently placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Mom, let's go home."
She slowly stood and held onto his arm.
Together, they walked away from the bench and toward the quiet tree-lined path.
Behind them, the three men were escorted toward the waiting police cars.
The same men who had laughed at a helpless old woman were now facing the consequences of their own actions.
The grandmother never fought them.
She never threatened them.
She simply made one phone call.

And that phone call brought her son home...
and changed everything.
