PART 2 — One Minute of Impossible Magic

PART 2 — One Minute of Impossible Magic

Margaret slowly knelt beside the old suitcase.

She opened it.

Inside...

Nothing but a faded deck of playing cards.

Several audience members laughed again.

She calmly picked up the deck.

Without dramatic music...

Without flashy movements...

She simply spread the cards across one hand.

With a gentle wave...

Every card vanished.

The audience blinked.

Her hands were empty.

Gasps echoed across the theater.

Before anyone could react...

A single white rose suddenly appeared between her fingers.

She smiled.

Then tossed the flower gently into the air.

Halfway up...

The rose transformed into a white dove.

The bird soared across the theater beneath the stage lights.

The audience exploded into applause.

The judges stared in disbelief.

One magician in the audience stood up immediately.

"No..."

"That's impossible."

Margaret wasn't finished.

She reached back into the empty suitcase.

Pulled out...

Nothing.

Her hands were completely empty.

Then...

One by one...

Hundreds of glowing butterflies appeared around her.

They filled the stage.

The audience gasped louder than ever.

People stood to their feet.

Even the camera operators stopped for a second.

One judge whispered,

"I've never seen anything like this."

Then...

An elderly man in the front row suddenly stood up.

His eyes filled with tears.

He stared at Margaret in complete disbelief.

"...It can't be..."

He slowly walked toward the stage.

Security stepped forward.

The man raised both hands.

"Please..."

"I've spent forty years searching for her."

The entire theater fell silent.

He reached the stage.

Looked directly into Margaret's eyes.

Then asked...

"Mrs. Collins..."

"Do you still remember the little boy who stole your magic suitcase in Chicago... fifty-eight years ago?"

Margaret froze.

The leather suitcase slipped from her hands.

"...Thomas?"

The man nodded.

The audience had no idea...

May you like

That the greatest illusion of the night...

Had nothing to do with magic.
