"This award wasn't planned tonight."

"But neither was history."

He handed Margaret the show's Lifetime Inspiration Award.

She accepted it quietly.

Then looked toward the old suitcase.

"My husband built that suitcase for me."

"He believed magic could heal broken hearts."

She gently rested her hand on it.

"And after all these years..."

"I think he was right."

The theater erupted into tears and applause.

The episode became the most-watched talent show in the show's history.

Not because of the illusions.
