Part 3: One Final Illusion Turned the Entire Theater Into a Standing Ovation

The theater lights flickered once...
Then twice...
Then everything went completely dark.
A few audience members gasped.
Someone nervously laughed.
The silence lasted only three seconds.
When the lights came back on...
The old woman was standing exactly where she had been.
The fresh red apple still rested on the wooden table.
Nothing seemed different.
One judge smiled nervously.
"You definitely know how to create suspense."
The elderly woman picked up the apple.
She held it high so everyone in the theater could see it.
"Every person judges by appearances," she said softly.
"But what's on the outside rarely tells the whole story."
She invited one of the judges onto the stage.
"Would you hold this for me?"
The judge took the apple and examined it closely.
"It still looks perfectly real."
The old woman nodded.
"Break it."
The judge twisted the apple in half.
Instead of white fruit inside...
Hundreds of tiny red paper butterflies gently floated into the air.
The audience gasped.
The butterflies swirled beneath the stage lights before drifting across the judges' desk.
Children in the front row reached out with smiles.
The theater erupted into thunderous applause.
The judges stood to their feet.
One judge shook his head in disbelief.
"I was convinced this would be another novelty act."
"I couldn't have been more wrong."
Another judge smiled.
"You didn't just perform a magic trick."
"You told a story about not judging people by how they look."
The audience continued cheering.
The elderly woman gave a graceful bow.
As she quietly picked up her old wooden basket, the judges stopped her before she could leave the stage.
One judge pressed the Golden Buzzer.
Golden confetti exploded from above.
The crowd roared even louder.
Tears filled the old woman's eyes as she looked around the theater.
The same audience that had laughed at her only minutes earlier was now chanting her name.

With a warm smile, she raised the fresh red apple one last time.
The camera slowly faded out as the entire theater remained on its feet, applauding a performance no one would ever forget.
