Full / THE OLD WOMAN IN PRISON WHOSE OLD OBJECT TERRIFIED THE ENTIRE GANG

PART 1:

That afternoon.

The dining hall of the maximum-security prison was still packed with people.

The clatter of food trays.

Conversations mingled with provocative laughter.

But in the far corner of the room...

An old woman sat quietly alone.

Her white hair was neatly tied back.

Her hands were wrinkled with age.

In her hands was not a food tray.

But a small, old wooden box.

She gently opened the box.

Inside was only a red string bracelet, with a small, faded jade pendant.

She gently stroked the object.

Her eyes reddened slightly.

It was the last gift her daughter left her before she died.

It was also the only thing she had carried with her for years.

Just then...

Three prisoners approached.

One sneered.

"Hey, old woman."

"What treasure are you hiding?"

Before she could react,

the other snatched the box from her hand.

"Let's see."

They opened the box.

Then they burst into laughter.

"I thought it was gold or silver."

"Turns out it's just a tattered bracelet."

"No one would buy this for scrap."

One of them even tossed the bracelet into the air.

The whole group laughed uncontrollably.

But...

The old woman remained still.

She just silently watched the bracelet.

No screaming.

No begging.

His gaze was strangely calm.

One of the prisoners held the bracelet.

"This tattered thing could probably be given to the boss as a toy."

The whole group burst into laughter.

Then they brought the bracelet to the gang leader.

The leader was sitting at the back of the dining hall.

He took the bracelet with an indifferent expression.

But...

As soon as he saw the small symbol carved on the jade surface,

His eyes widened.

His face instantly turned pale.

His hand holding the bracelet trembled.

"Where...where did you get this?"

The henchmen continued to laugh.

"From the old woman over there."

"Just a piece of junk."

BAM!

The leader suddenly slammed his hand down on the table.

The whole dining hall jumped.

He roared,

"YOU IDIOTS!"

"Do you know who she is?"

A loud shout echoed through the room.

The henchmen stood frozen.

No one dared speak.

The leader tightened his grip on the bracelet.

His voice began to tremble.

"This symbol..."

"Only one person in the entire country has ever worn it."

"The woman who single-handedly rescued over thirty hostages during that terrorist attack."

"The woman who struck fear into even the biggest criminal organizations."

"The mother of a heroic female police officer who died in the line of duty."

"You..."

"...just stole her last memento."

The atmosphere in the mess hall froze.

The long-serving prisoners' faces changed color.

They had heard of that woman.

A legend that even many guards held in absolute respect.

The leader swallowed hard.

Then he slowly stood up.
