PART 2

PART 2:

Without a second's hesitation,

The leader took a clean handkerchief from his pocket.

He carefully wiped away every speck of dust from the bracelet.

His movements were so gentle it was unbelievable.

Then...

He himself walked up to the old woman.

The entire dining hall fell silent.

Hundreds of eyes watched.

The leader bowed deeply.

He lifted the wooden box with both hands.

"Madam..."

"Please forgive me."

"My subordinates didn't know."

"They made a grave mistake."

The old woman looked at the bracelet.

She gently took it.

She examined it carefully.

Fortunately...

It was still intact.

She closed the box.

She hugged it to her chest.

Then calmly looked at the leader.

"This isn't a valuable item because of its monetary value."

"But because of the person who gave it."

The leader bowed his head.

"I understand."

Immediately.

He turned to look at his subordinates.

"Kneel down."

No one dared to disobey.

One by one they knelt before the old woman.

"We're sorry, ma'am."

"We were wrong."

But the old woman only shook her head slightly.

"If you truly know you're wrong..."

"Then learn to respect other people's memories."

"Some things are just old things to you."

"But to others..."

"They are a whole lifetime."

No one dared to raise their head.

The leader said softly.

"From today."

"No one in this prison is allowed to touch her."

"Anyone who insults her..."

"Is insulting me."

Those words brought complete silence to the dining hall.

Since that day...

No one dared approach the old woman's wooden box anymore.

Because everyone understood.

The most terrifying thing wasn't the keepsake itself.

But the woman who had dedicated her entire life to protecting things more precious than her own life.
