PART 2 — EVERYONE STOPPED LAUGHING

The old man stood in the center of the trampoline.
The teenagers watched closely.
At first, he made only a small bounce.
Then another.
And another.
The teenagers smiled.
One whispered to his friend,
“He's actually doing it.”
The old man continued bouncing.
His movements became smoother.
His jumps became higher.
His posture became straighter.
The laughter slowly faded.
One teenager lowered his phone.
“Wait...”
The old man's eyes suddenly became focused.
His feet landed perfectly in the center of the trampoline every time.
Bounce.
Bounce.
Bounce.
Each jump became higher than the last.
The teenagers stopped talking.
The old man bent his knees slightly.
His arms moved into position.
His body suddenly looked completely different.
He wasn't jumping like someone trying a trampoline for the first time.
He was setting up a technique.
One of the teenagers whispered,
“Does he actually know what he's doing?”
The old man didn't answer.
He took another powerful bounce.
Higher.
Then higher again.
The entire group stepped backward.
Their smiles disappeared.
Now they were watching carefully.
The old man looked toward the suspended gymnastic rings hanging above the trampoline area.
Then he looked back at the mat.
He took one final bounce.
His body rose higher than before.
His arms swung backward.
His knees bent.
His eyes locked forward.
The teenagers froze.
One of them whispered,
May you like
“Whoa...”
The old man was preparing for something far beyond a simple jump.
