Inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, more than twenty thousand spectators filled the stands for the middleweight championship fight of America's biggest MMA league.
The arena was alive with noise.
Spotlights swept across the octagon.
Television cameras tracked every movement around the entrance.
The commentators repeatedly talked about the undefeated champion, Logan "The Titan" Hayes.
He had defended his championship eight consecutive times.
For three straight years, no opponent had managed to take the belt from him.
Then, just as the MC prepared to introduce his challenger...
Someone slowly appeared from behind the entrance tunnel.
The crowd quieted.
It was an elderly woman who looked to be around eighty years old.
Her gray hair was neatly tied back.
She wore an old gray hoodie and faded sneakers.
A small canvas bag hung from her shoulder.
For several seconds, nobody knew what to make of her.
Then the laughter started.
"Hey... are you lost?"
"Can someone please take you to a nursing home?"
"This is the UFC, not a senior citizens' club!"
Even several fighters sitting near the front row laughed.
A backstage staff member approached her cautiously.
"Ma'am... are you sure you registered for the right event?"
The woman smiled calmly.
"Yes."
"I'm here to challenge the champion."
The arena erupted again.
The MC laughed into his microphone.
"Ma'am... you want to fight Logan Hayes?"
She simply nodded.
"I want his belt."
The crowd roared with laughter.
Nobody took her seriously.
